Transformed a boat from the 60s into a venue with flow
As we observe that the word “community” has lost all meaning, or taken on a new one that no longer reflects our reality, we are testing the term “people-based”.
This time our focus is on Bjørn & Mina from @audioinbalance
When we put the word out that we needed a high quality sound system, built & installed on a very short turnaround, to fit our saline & sailing needs, their names came up time and time again. It was Monday, we needed a system installed by Friday. Tuesday we had our first meeting and by Friday they had given us the gift of sound.
Bjørn & Mina are “people people”. Without whom, our dream would remain a dream, with whom it became a reality.

Soft opening
Words are seldomly enough to describe the ecstasy we feel in moments like these. The gratitude, the privilege & the pride. We are enamoured and overjoyed.
It’s another long list of thank yous. Thank you to the dancers, the listeners, the chillers, to this “people-based” organism which has turned nothing into the big something that we can now all see, hear and feel.
Special shout to Steve @chllngr for being the matchmaker that linked the skipper with the buzzers.
Another special shout to Gala @rokitacph for coming to feed 50 people at an incredibly fair price with not nearly enough notice. Sorry and thank you.

Finally, all of the love in the world to Fergus Murphy (@voicewhata), when we call, you answer. Any time of day or night, any setting, any colour or creed, you do it best. Let’s intentionally big up a person who is humble to a fault, he’s supported artists like Grace Jones, Faithless and Seun Kuti, but he still finds time to support us as a constant. We love you!
To quote our new friend @kenlinhdoky, this turbulent but calm voyage is by and for the “people people”.
